Description

  • Manage and investigate large loss and high-exposure homeowner claims, including litigation files and matters involving public adjusters and attorneys.
  • Verify coverage, interpret policy language, and determine liability and scope of damages.
  • Evaluate claim facts and damage estimates to drive timely and appropriate claim resolution.
  • Conduct on-site inspections as needed to assess damage and loss exposure.
  • Investigate origin and cause of high-exposure claims with insureds, claimants, agents, attorneys, contractors, experts, SIU, public officials, and other adjusters.
  • Identify prior losses and potential environmental exposures.
  • Reconcile contractor and mitigation estimates and collaborate with vendors to determine accurate damage valuations.
  • Negotiate settlements with insureds, attorneys, and public adjusters.
  • Manage ALE and Loss of Rent period of restoration issues.
  • Participate in catastrophe response, special projects, process improvement, mentoring, and training.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of dwelling estimating experience preferred.
  • Experience handling homeowner property losses of $50,000 or greater.
  • Experience with litigation-heavy claims environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of homeowner policy interpretation and coverage analysis.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Xactimate; Level 3 certification is encouraged.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required state adjuster licenses.
  • Ability to comply with jurisdictional regulatory requirements.
  • Experience working with claims systems and telephony platforms in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Periodic travel may be required for inspections or catastrophe support.

Benefits

  • Pay range of $76,600.00–$106,450.00.
  • Salary commensurate with experience and location.
