Description

  • Lead day-to-day Life New Business Operations with accountability for accuracy, quality, compliance, and customer service.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to improve processes, increase efficiency, and raise service standards.
  • Set and monitor performance goals and operational metrics aligned with business objectives.
  • Identify and implement workflow improvements that reduce processing cycle times and enhance the customer and agent experience.
  • Evaluate and optimize processes from submission through policy issuance to deliver measurable operational gains.
  • Oversee quality assurance practices and ensure adherence to operational standards and compliance requirements.
  • Lead, coach, and develop managers and operational staff to build a high-performing team.
  • Partner with Human Resources to hire, train, evaluate, and develop talent, including corrective actions when needed.
  • Collaborate with underwriting, distribution, IT, compliance, and product teams to support seamless business execution.
  • Manage customer and agent experience initiatives to improve responsiveness, transparency, and ease of doing business.
  • Partner with leadership on budgets, business plans, and operational investments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related business discipline is required.
  • Extensive experience in life insurance or life operations, preferably in new business processing.
  • Proven leadership experience managing operations teams and developing talent.
  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end new business lifecycle and processing systems.
  • Deep knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in the insurance and financial services industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement, operational efficiency, and service excellence.
  • Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience managing budgets, business planning, and operational performance metrics.
  • Deep understanding of regulatory environments including state Departments of Insurance, IRS, SEC, and FINRA requirements.
  • Experience with high-performing, cross-functional environments is preferred.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $89,800 to $125,500 annually.
  • Compensation is commensurate with experience and location.
