Description

  • Develop and lead Hootsuite’s global events strategy to support net-new pipeline generation, customer retention, customer expansion, and brand awareness.
  • Oversee planning and execution of owned and sponsored in-person events in partnership with marketing and sales leaders.
  • Hire, lead, coach, and develop a team of experiential marketers.
  • Manage the event marketing budget and allocate resources to maximize ROI while following internal procurement and accrual processes.
  • Build a framework for measuring event ROI and pipeline impact, then analyze performance data and present insights to executives.
  • Work with the sales organization to ensure event-generated leads and expansion opportunities are followed up on effectively.
  • Drive 360° event promotion across customer marketing, organic social, paid media, print collateral, and partner promotions.
  • Partner with global sales on event sponsorship opportunities and develop a consistent sponsorship decision-making framework aligned to company values and brand.
  • Collaborate with product marketing, brand, and corporate communications teams on launch events, partner announcements, brand announcements, and earned speaking opportunities.
  • Source, manage, and direct external event agencies and regional contractors, including creative direction, scope, and budget ownership.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of marketing experience in enterprise SaaS and/or B2B.
  • 5+ years of experience managing events.
  • Experience managing agencies, contractors, and freelancers.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
  • Experience with process and project management for timelines and execution.
  • Creative and innovative approach to marketing challenges.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an organized, root-cause-oriented approach.
  • Open to remote work in Canada and the USA where legally eligible, or hybrid work near Toronto or Vancouver offices.

Benefits

  • Remote work available in Canada and the USA, with a hybrid option near Toronto or Vancouver.
  • Canada salary range of $116,100 to $162,700 CAD.
  • US salary range of $125,300 to $175,500 USD.
