Description

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable distributed systems and infrastructure for the Care Platform.
  • Build and manage foundational platform services that enable the broader engineering organization to deliver reliably and efficiently.
  • Own build and deployment pipelines for services across development, staging, and production environments.
  • Maintain and support multiple environments and their underlying infrastructure.
  • Serve as a consultant to define the right abstractions and patterns for platform problems.
  • Design and implement infrastructure for AWS-hosted applications, including event-driven systems, Kubernetes-based services, and serverless functions.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and ArgoCD.
  • Automate code lifecycle management from development through production, including code promotion and configuration management.
  • Instrument observability and monitoring using tools such as CloudWatch and DataDog.
  • Scale infrastructure to meet demand while managing cost effectively.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of professional experience on a platform engineering team within a product-centric company.
  • Experience designing foundational patterns and libraries for Python applications.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools for reproducible and scalable environment setup.
  • Experience with AWS infrastructure for event-driven systems, containerized services on Kubernetes, and serverless functions.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins and ArgoCD.
  • Experience automating code promotion and configuration management across the software lifecycle.
  • Experience using CloudWatch, DataDog, or similar observability tools.
  • Experience defining and measuring standards for quality, security, scalability, and availability.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills tailored to different audiences.
  • Experience with RPC architectures is preferred.
  • Experience working at a technology startup and navigating evolving platform maturity is preferred.
  • Experience with multiple distributed architecture patterns is preferred.
  • Keen interest in developing talent through mentorship.
  • A strategic thinker with a product-first approach and customer obsession.

  • Hiring salary range of $200,700 to $223,000 USD.
