Description

  • Solve a wide range of business problems using data and the appropriate level of technical complexity.
  • Partner with Engineering, Product Management, and Care Operations to define strategy and execute on it.
  • Design and implement frameworks and metrics to evaluate data products and business impact.
  • Research operational and logistical problems and identify potential solutions proactively.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of descriptive and predictive models.
  • Champion LLM-driven workflows across the company and help build production-ready agentic systems.
  • Collaborate with Engineering on architectures for agent-based features and developer productivity tools.
  • Set success metrics upfront and assess how technical solutions affect business goals.
  • Own projects end-to-end, anticipating dependencies and driving issue resolution.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience solving complex business problems and shipping/maintaining Python in a production environment.
  • Strong foundation in traditional predictive machine learning, including classification, regression, and tree-based models such as XGBoost.
  • Deep professional expertise in at least one of the following: Optimization or Agentic AI.
  • Experience formulating and solving complex logistical or allocation problems, such as linear or integer programming, in a business setting (Optimization preferred).
  • Deep technical experience building, orchestrating, and establishing best practices for agentic systems using LLMs for autonomous decision-making and tool use (Agentic AI preferred).
  • Ability to manage product ambiguity and seek clarity to ensure the right problem is being solved.
  • Excellent mathematical and statistical foundations, supported by a degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or Physics, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience designing experiments and applying causal inference methods to measure business impact (preferred).
  • Familiarity with modern MLOps practices, AWS, Docker, or CI/CD pipelines (preferred).
  • Experience working with sensitive data such as PII or PHI in a HIPAA-compliant environment (preferred).
  • Experience optimizing portfolio allocation in a two-sided marketplace, such as care matching, hiring, or demand forecasting (preferred).
