Description

  • Build and operate production backend systems that support Honor’s mission-critical services.
  • Design and maintain relational data models and databases at scale.
  • Develop API-driven services within service-oriented and distributed system architectures.
  • Work on core platforms for hiring, scheduling, and workforce optimization.
  • Contribute to public digital experiences and growth channels that help families find care.
  • Build multi-channel communication systems across phone, SMS, and email.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, design, data, and care operations teams.
  • Translate complex technical ideas into clear, actionable solutions for technical and non-technical partners.
  • Mentor teammates and contribute to a healthy, inclusive engineering culture.
  • Own systems from design through operation with a product-minded approach.

Requirements

  • Strong backend engineering experience with a track record of building and operating production systems.
  • Experience designing relational data models and working with databases at scale.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, with AWS preferred.
  • Experience with service-oriented architectures.
  • Experience with API design.
  • Experience with distributed systems and backend performance considerations.
  • Proficiency in Python, or transferable backend experience with a willingness to learn Python.
  • Ability to communicate proactively and clearly in writing and verbally.
  • Experience collaborating in cross-functional environments (preferred).
  • Interest in mentoring others and contributing to engineering culture (preferred).
