Description

  • Drive technical strategy on Honeycomb’s largest and most complex deals in partnership with Strategic AEs and Sales Leadership.
  • Lead discovery, solution design, and executive conversations that connect the platform to engineering and business priorities.
  • Own the technical win by shaping success criteria, guiding POCs, running competitive bake-offs, and building stakeholder conviction.
  • Advise engineering leaders and executives at global enterprises on AI-era observability, modern operations, and software delivery.
  • Translate complex customer environments into clear architectures and solution narratives for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Use AI tools efficiently and responsibly while maintaining accuracy and reliability.
  • Instrument applications, unblock technical issues, and help customers validate outcomes in real environments.
  • Create scalable technical assets such as content, reusable demos, repeatable architectures, and thought leadership.
  • Deliver demos, workshops, and presentations that move prospects toward decision.
  • Collaborate across Sales, Product, Marketing, Field Engineering, and DevRel to improve go-to-market motion and feed field insights back into product and demo strategy.
  • Mentor peers and model strong judgment, autonomy, and leadership potential.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of pre-sales, solution architecture, or customer-facing technical experience in B2B SaaS, ideally with strategic or enterprise accounts.
  • Proven success winning complex, high-value deals with sophisticated buying committees and multiple technical stakeholders.
  • Experience selling into developer, platform, SRE, or engineering-led organizations.
  • Executive presence with the ability to tailor communication from hands-on practitioners to the C-suite.
  • Strong solutioning skills, including whiteboarding clearly, simplifying complexity, and building technical strategies for ambiguous situations.
  • Hands-on fluency with modern cloud environments, CSPs, containers, Kubernetes, distributed systems, and API-driven architectures.
  • Strong working knowledge of observability, distributed tracing, and OpenTelemetry.
  • Comfort navigating code and implementation details across languages and frameworks to guide instrumentation and validation.
  • Experience owning complex POCs and evaluations, including defining success criteria, managing risk, and driving outcomes.
  • Collaborative, cross-functional mindset with experience influencing Product, Engineering, and GTM teams.
  • A point of view on the future of observability, developer tooling, and AI-assisted workflows.
  • Mentorship and growth mindset, with an interest in building reusable assets and helping others improve.
  • Familiarity with MEDDPICC or Command of the Message is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20% for customer engagements, field events, and internal collaboration.
  • Must be eligible to work; the company cannot currently sponsor or support visa transfers.
