Description

  • Write, edit, and format safety manuals, policies, procedures, and guidance documents.
  • Refresh and revise existing documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with current OSHA/HSE standards.
  • Draft materials for construction site safety meetings and toolbox talks.
  • Prepare clear summaries and follow-ups from safety meetings and client engagements.
  • Research OSHA and industry standards to incorporate regulatory requirements and best practices into content.
  • Ensure documents are accurate, consistently formatted, and use proper technical terminology.
  • Collaborate with subject-matter experts to validate technical content.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects at once while meeting deadlines.
  • Track deliverables to ensure timely completion with minimal revision cycles.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Technical Writer, preferably with safety, compliance, or industrial content.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce error-free documentation.
  • High level of accountability and demonstrated ability to reliably meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable multitasking and managing shifting priorities.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Training Certification or equivalent safety training experience is preferred.
  • Experience writing safety manuals, compliance documentation, or construction-focused materials is preferred.
  • Familiarity with contractor compliance platforms and requirements is preferred.
  • Experience working with subject matter experts and translating technical language into clear, user-friendly content is preferred.
  • Internet connection with a minimum primary speed of 15 Mbps and a backup connection of at least 10 Mbps, capable of supporting work during a power outage.
  • Desktop or laptop with an Intel Core i5 8th generation or newer, Intel Core i3 10th generation or newer, AMD Ryzen 5, or equivalent processor, and at least 8 GB RAM.
  • Backup device that meets or exceeds the performance of an Intel Core i3 processor and is functional during power interruptions.
  • Functioning webcam, noise-canceling USB headset, and a quiet dedicated home office space.
  • Smartphone for communication and verification purposes.
