Description

  • Answer user questions and troubleshoot issues on the discourse forum and social channels such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Reddit, and data Slack communities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers and open source users in public online communities.
  • Help customers turn data questions into executable queries and get data from different sources into useful shapes.
  • Collaborate with the writing team to improve documentation based on recurring customer questions.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to plan customer-facing content.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer by sharing feedback with the product team.
  • Work closely with engineering on critical issues and customer escalations.
  • Represent Metabase in webinars or in-person events when needed.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience writing production code or administering systems.
  • Strong technical background with the ability to support data and systems-related customer questions.
  • Experience with data visualization or data analytics tools; Metabase experience is a plus.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Comfort speaking as the face of the company in webinars or in-person events.
  • Experience in at least one of the following: running Metabase on multiple operating systems for multiple years, networking and web application fundamentals, managing servers on physical machines, Docker, or AWS/GCP, or managing databases with strong SQL skills.
  • Fluency in multiple languages is a plus.
  • U.S. applicants must complete employment authorization verification through E-Verify upon hire.
