Description

  • Facilitate patient communication by scheduling appointments, answering inquiries, and maintaining accurate patient records.
  • Process insurance claims accurately and efficiently to support timely reimbursement for dental services.
  • Use OpenDental and related practice management software to manage patient information, appointments, billing, and insurance details.
  • Coordinate appointment scheduling to optimize patient flow and provider availability.
  • Explain treatment costs, billing questions, and insurance coverage to help patients understand their financial responsibilities.
  • Educate patients on recommended treatments, oral hygiene practices, and post-treatment care.
  • Streamline administrative processes and maintain organized documentation to improve practice efficiency.
  • Maintain thorough records, including patient histories, treatment plans, and insurance documentation.
  • Liaise with the dental team to support seamless care coordination and practice operations.
  • Deliver professional customer service while addressing patient concerns and creating a welcoming environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a dental practice or healthcare setting with a focus on patient engagement, scheduling, and administrative support.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with OpenDental is essential.
  • Experience with Dentrix, EagleSoft, CurveDental, Denticon, or similar dental practice management software is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience processing insurance claims in a dental practice environment is preferred.
  • Strong patient-centric approach with a commitment to satisfaction, communication, and engagement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with patients, team members, and insurance providers.
  • Positive, friendly, and professional demeanor with strong customer service skills.
  • Primary internet connection with a minimum speed of 15 Mbps.
  • Backup internet connection with at least 10 Mbps that can support work during a power outage.
  • Desktop or laptop with at least an Intel Core i5 8th generation or newer, Intel Core i3 10th generation or newer, AMD Ryzen 5, or equivalent, plus a minimum of 8 GB RAM.
  • Backup device that meets or exceeds the performance of an Intel Core i3 processor and remains functional during power interruptions.
  • Functioning webcam, noise-canceling USB headset, quiet dedicated home office space, and smartphone for communication and verification purposes.
