Description

  • Maintain accurate financial records for a portfolio of 20–30 commercial properties and entities.
  • Manage general ledger activity, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, variance analyses, and cash flow projections.
  • Reconcile property-level transactions and ensure completeness and accuracy across the portfolio.
  • Track and reconcile NNN expenses, including CAM, property taxes, and insurance.
  • Monitor tenant rent payments, lease escalations, late fees, and other charges.
  • Generate and issue monthly rent statements and invoices.
  • Partner with property management teams to enforce rent collection policies and follow up on delinquencies.
  • Review vendor invoices, utilities, and maintenance expenses against budgets.
  • Support annual budgeting, forecasting, audits, tax filings, and ad hoc financial analysis.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of accounting experience, including 3+ years in commercial real estate accounting.
  • Hands-on experience with Yardi Breeze is required.
  • Strong experience with NNN/Triple Net lease structures, CAM reconciliations, property-level accounting, and multi-entity accounting environments.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks, Yardi Breeze, and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and lease accounting standards.
  • Experience with audits, tax filings, and compliance is preferred.
  • Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Extremely detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple entities simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote, high-accountability environment.
  • Reliable, trustworthy, proactive, and comfortable asking questions, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
