Description

  • Own and communicate the category narrative for sales, brand, and leadership teams.
  • Deliver insight-led recommendations for joint business planning, assortment, pricing, promotions, and revenue growth initiatives.
  • Equip sales teams with selling stories and dashboards that strengthen customer conversations.
  • Provide category and shopper context to inform brand strategy and identify whitespace opportunities.
  • Synthesize syndicated, internal sales, shopper, panel, and market intelligence data into an actionable category perspective.
  • Partner with Customer Development, Sales, Revenue Growth Management, Finance, and Brand Marketing to align strategy and execution.
  • Serve as the internal category expert, guiding decisions to defend shelf space and expand into adjacent categories.
  • Develop reporting tools and analytical frameworks that improve insight generation across national, regional, and channel teams.
  • Present complex analyses and recommendations clearly to leadership and retail partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Analytics, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in category management, category insights, or shopper insights within the CPG or beverage industry.
  • Strong knowledge of category management, shopper behavior, and retail market analysis.
  • Experience with syndicated data tools, including SPINS, IRI/Circana, Numerator, and Kroger Stratum/84.51°.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, IF statements, and SUMIFS.
  • Strong PowerPoint and data-storytelling skills.
  • Experience supporting sales teams, customer development, and joint business planning with retail partners.
  • Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and compelling selling stories.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence without direct authority.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Benefits

  • Base salary of $135,000–$160,000, depending on location and experience.
  • Bonus eligibility.
  • Unlimited vacation and sick days.
