Description

  • Own the Shopify storefront end to end, from build through launch, and keep it live and stable by the target US launch date.
  • Own ongoing frontend work and business-as-usual maintenance for the storefront.
  • Work across frontend and backend as needed to support the commerce platform.
  • Handle Shopify integrations with Celigo, NetSuite, Amazon, and other ERP systems, including related data mapping.
  • Support backend work on the existing Java stack in line with team standards.
  • Troubleshoot production issues independently and resolve integration or storefront problems.
  • Self-manage quality assurance through thorough testing, careful releases, and a prevention-focused QA approach.
  • Document technical decisions, architecture, and implementation notes for future maintainability.
  • Communicate clearly and proactively with the team, escalating risks and blockers early.

Requirements

  • Extensive hands-on experience developing Shopify storefronts, including Liquid, Shopify APIs, Shopify Functions, and custom app development.
  • Experience integrating Shopify with third-party platforms such as ERP, OMS, or fulfilment systems.
  • Experience with Celigo, NetSuite, or Amazon is highly valued but not essential.
  • Solid understanding of APIs, system integrations, and data flows.
  • Ability to troubleshoot production issues independently.
  • Comfort working across the frontend while understanding the backend architecture of a modern Shopify ecosystem.
  • Comfortably contributing occasionally to a Java tech stack.
  • Experience delivering production-ready software with a strong focus on testing, code quality, and maintainability.
  • Strong communication skills in English and the ability to collaborate with engineering, product, marketing, and commercial teams.
  • A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with the ability to identify improvements and communicate risks early.
  • Nice-to-have experience with headless commerce architectures.
  • Nice-to-have experience with Sanity CMS.
  • Nice-to-have experience with AWS or AWS Lambda.
  • Nice-to-have experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Nice-to-have experience with Shopify performance optimisation and SEO.
  • Nice-to-have exposure to Java-based backend services.
