Description

  • Build and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end automation that supports continuous deployment with high confidence.
  • Create test harnesses and frameworks for critical-path, upgrade, and failure-mode testing across microservices.
  • Validate installation and upgrade workflows for Kubernetes deployments using Helm, manifests, and customer-like configurations.
  • Run environment and compatibility testing across cloud and customer setups, including AWS and Azure variability.
  • Track, publish, and operationalize quality metrics such as coverage, flake rate, defect escapes, and regression trends.
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Product, and Security to align on release readiness, document risks, and communicate tradeoffs.
  • Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate test development, triage, and analysis while applying strong engineering judgment.
  • Improve reliability of low-latency distributed services by catching regressions early and validating failure modes.

Requirements

  • Experience shipping automation-first quality practices that support safe continuous deployment.
  • Strong experience testing microservices or distributed systems, including integration points and failure scenarios.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized workloads, including Docker and Helm-based deployments.
  • Familiarity with AWS or Azure environments and cloud-native debugging.
  • Ability to contribute in at least one of TypeScript/React, Go, or Python to build or extend test tools and frameworks.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments with iterative planning and continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to proactively align stakeholders and surface tradeoffs.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a bias for action while clarifying requirements.
  • Experience with low-latency or performance testing, including p95/p99 regression detection, load testing, and scalability validation, preferred.
  • Familiarity with observability tools such as metrics, logs, and traces, and using telemetry to improve test signal and triage, preferred.
  • Experience building quality dashboards and defining quality KPIs across multiple services, preferred.
  • Exposure to ML/AI workflows or platforms, including MLOps-style integrations and testing those integrations, preferred.
  • Experience with contract testing, service mesh or API gateways, or event-driven systems, preferred.
