Description

  • Capture, author, and manage system-level requirements for aircraft and ground systems by translating contractual and operational needs into verifiable technical requirements.
  • Own and maintain the requirements baseline and bidirectional traceability across contractual requirements, development artefacts, and V&V evidence.
  • Negotiate system requirements and methods of compliance with internal teams and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain and improve the requirements management toolchain, including integration with MBSE models and the V&V test environment.
  • Support the adoption of Model-Based Systems Engineering alongside traditional text-based requirements.
  • Define and enforce requirements quality standards so requirements are unambiguous, verifiable, and properly allocated.
  • Run requirements review boards and manage impact assessments and change control for requirement changes.
  • Prepare requirements documentation for compliance and certification, including ARP4754A-related deliverables.
  • Collaborate daily with AI software specialists, systems engineers, V&V specialists, quality assurance, and programme management teams.

Requirements

  • Practical experience managing requirements for avionics or electronic warfare systems from customer negotiation through final qualification.
  • Experience using requirements management tools such as DOORS, Polarion, Jama, or equivalent.
  • Experience integrating requirements tools within a broader systems engineering and V&V toolchain.
  • Experience applying MBSE methodologies with tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler or Enterprise Architect using SysML/UML.
  • Ability to translate high-level stakeholder needs into formal, traceable, and testable requirements.
  • Experience applying aerospace standards such as ARP4754B in a requirements engineering context.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and support compliance efforts.
  • Ability to report and present requirements status and technical matters clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience working on defence-related programmes is preferred.
