Description

  • Implement company-wide HSE policies into practical operational measures tailored to logistics hubs.
  • Conduct and continuously improve risk assessments in line with the German Occupational Safety Act, including documentation and follow-up actions.
  • Lead accident investigations and root-cause analyses, and define sustainable preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable occupational safety and environmental regulations, including ArbSchG, BetrSichV, GefStoffV, BImSchG, and DGUV requirements.
  • Carry out regular site inspections and audits, and coach managers on hazard identification.
  • Optimize safety processes using structured process and risk management methods to continuously improve the safety culture.
  • Support organizational change and ensure HSE standards remain a priority during growth and transition phases.

Requirements

  • Degree or vocational qualification in occupational safety, environmental sciences, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of relevant EHS/HSE experience, ideally in a distribution center or warehouse.
  • Understanding of traffic safety and fleet management.
  • Strong knowledge of German occupational safety and environmental law, including ArbSchG, BetrSichV, GefStoffV, DGUV rules, ASR fire protection requirements, and BImSchG permitting/environmental requirements.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards such as ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 is preferred.
  • Fluent German and English skills, both at least C1 level.
  • Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented working style with the ability to translate complex issues into actionable safety strategies.
  • Strong communication and advisory skills when working with operational teams.
  • Team-oriented mindset and enjoyment of cross-functional collaboration.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 90% and a valid Class B driver’s license.
