Description

Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure all food meets company quality and specification standards.
Directly supervise cooks, deboxing, and cooling practices.
Train, coach, and develop kitchen staff and shift hourly employees.
Maintain kitchen security, including equipment, food, and supply inventories.
Manage food procurement, delivery, storage, and issuing of food items.
Monitor equipment maintenance, submit repair requests, and ensure proper kitchen upkeep.
Ensure compliance with state and federal health, safety, and sanitation codes.
Report shift updates and operational information to managers and the Chef de Cuisine.
Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results.
Investigate accidents and notify management as appropriate.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or related work experience required.
5+ years of experience in a commissary kitchen and high-volume food preparation.
American Culinary Federation chef certification preferred.
Fluency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications.
Ability to train and develop a large group of employees and manage an active kitchen.
Strong problem-solving and results-driven mindset.
Ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy.
Ability to multitask while tracking recipe development and maintaining productivity.
Comfort working in hot, cool, and/or cold environments (30º–70º).
Ability to take direction and relay information to employees.
