Description

  • Gather, document, and refine dashboard requirements with HSAG staff, CMS stakeholders, and customers.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, document, and maintain Amazon QuickSight analyses, datasets, reports, and dashboards in the secure CMS environment.
  • Create intuitive dashboard navigation, drill-downs, filters, parameters, calculations, and role-based views.
  • Validate dashboard measures, calculations, labels, and visualizations against approved specifications.
  • Maintain version documentation and support controlled promotion of dashboard changes.
  • Develop Tableau dashboards and visualizations for other HSAG initiatives as needed.
  • Develop proof-of-concept solutions and advanced visualizations using dashboard usability best practices.
  • Investigate data issues, perform ad hoc analysis, and validate measures using approved data sources and tools.
  • Coordinate technical user acceptance testing, resolve defects, and support production readiness.
  • Provide documentation, user guidance, presentations, technical support, and troubleshooting for dashboards and related data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, or a quantitative discipline.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining Amazon QuickSight visualization solutions.
  • Practical QuickSight expertise creating analyses, dashboards, calculated fields, filters, parameters, and interactive visualizations.
  • Familiarity with Tableau dashboard development; hands-on Tableau experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and experience documenting business and technical requirements from user interviews.
  • Experience with Databricks preferred.
  • Experience with healthcare, Medicare, claims, quality improvement, or other regulated data preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate with multiple teams; CMS vetting, security approval, and access eligibility required.
