Description

  • Own the data foundation for lifecycle marketing by assessing Braze attributes, events, and entitlements, identifying gaps, and translating needs into clear requirements for Engineering and Data.
  • Partner with Engineering and Data as a technical peer on schema design, data availability, and downstream CRM impact.
  • Maintain and evolve Braze data integrity by auditing segments and validating attribute and event data against expected behavior.
  • Build and maintain documentation of CRM data architecture, including data flows, reliability, and known gaps or risks.
  • Evaluate new data capabilities and Braze features through a systems lens to determine infrastructure fit and data requirements.
  • Identify structural limitations in the CRM stack that constrain lifecycle performance and build prioritized cases for resolving them.
  • Support lifecycle and marketing operations on core initiatives such as the monthly newsletter and always-on engagement programs.
  • Own the technical build and execution of campaigns across email, push, in-app, and SMS channels in Braze.
  • Design, execute, and analyze A/B and multivariate experiments, then deliver reporting and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Support B2B client launches and migrations in partnership with Marketing Ops, and monitor campaign performance across channels.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing operations or CRM with ownership of technical execution and lifecycle systems.
  • Experience working in event-based data models and the ability to read and write data specs.
  • Deep expertise in Braze, including campaign and Canvas builds, segmentation, Liquid Logic, and performance reporting.
  • Strong understanding of multi-channel best practices, deliverability, and data protection laws.
  • Experience designing and interpreting A/B and multivariate experiments.
  • Ability to run projects from start to finish with minimal oversight and manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, and workstreams simultaneously.
  • Comfort making judgment calls with incomplete information and re-prioritizing quickly as business needs change.
  • Confidence collaborating, interpreting feedback into action, and pushing back constructively when needed.
  • Data-driven reporting skills for campaign performance analysis.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools to accelerate technical work, such as drafting Liquid Logic, building reporting frameworks, or automating documentation.
  • SQL or Databricks exposure is a plus.
  • Braze certification is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Liquid Logic is highly preferred.
  • Experience with Amplitude or Tableau is a plus.
  • Intermediate knowledge of HTML and CSS as it relates to email.
  • Candidates must permanently reside in the US full-time.
  • For candidates in the greater San Francisco area, the role follows a hybrid schedule with 3 days per week in office.
