Description

  • Guide the visual direction of static and motion-driven projects while maintaining craft and consistency.
  • Translate creative briefs into compelling visual narratives and design approaches with Creative Directors and Executive Creative Directors.
  • Review designs, storyboards, style frames, animatics, and motion deliverables, providing actionable feedback.
  • Direct designers and motion graphics artists to improve design and animation quality.
  • Maintain consistency across typography, composition, color, pacing, transitions, and visual storytelling.
  • Present creative work and explain design decisions to internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in design or art direction.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating modern design principles and visual storytelling.
  • Refined understanding of layout, typography, composition, and visual craft.
  • Strong knowledge of motion design principles, including timing, pacing, transitions, and animation techniques.
  • Experience developing and reviewing style frames, storyboards, moodboards, and motion treatments.
  • Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects.
  • Experience directing motion designers and providing constructive, actionable feedback.
  • Ability to translate complex ideas into clear, engaging visual content.
  • Confidence presenting work and collaborating with clients and cross-functional teams.
  • Active Australian Business Number, professional indemnity and public liability insurance, and own equipment required for contract work.
