Description

  • Oversee the upkeep and repair of on-farm hardware infrastructure to ensure seamless operations.
  • Diagnose hardware issues and communicate findings back to the relevant internal teams.
  • Maintain, upgrade, and deploy equipment such as towers and collars on farms.
  • Provide on-site support during farm deployments, including troubleshooting and installation assistance.
  • Participate in the global on-call roster to respond to tower-related incidents.
  • Collaborate with hardware, product, customer success, and other internal teams to support customer outcomes.
  • Collect, interpret, and analyze hardware data to improve processes and inform decisions.
  • Develop and manage a maintenance system for the New Zealand market.
  • Travel throughout South Island and other parts of New Zealand as required.

Requirements

  • Practical, hands-on experience with tools, electrical work, construction, networking, or equipment fitting.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and a proactive, go-getter attitude.
  • Ability to work resourcefully and handle a wide range of tasks, even without specific technical training.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to complete work on schedule.
  • Effective teamwork and collaboration skills across different locations.
  • Commitment to high-quality service and operational excellence.
  • Willingness to travel frequently, including 3 or 4 days on the road per week and up to 3 nights away from home per week.
  • Agriculture experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Southland-based location with NZ-wide travel required.
