Description

  • Own retention, renewals and expansion targets for existing Halter customers in the Taranaki region.
  • Manage customer accounts by adding value in every interaction to improve on-farm performance and business outcomes.
  • Support onboarding, training and implementation of the Halter system on farms, ensuring owners, managers and workers can successfully use the product.
  • Build and maintain genuine, trustworthy relationships with farmers, their teams and families to foster long-term engagement.
  • Partner strategically with customers to define business goals, timelines, priorities and success metrics.
  • Provide prompt, effective communication and support to resolve technical and operational challenges on-farm.
  • Represent Halter in the local community, lead discussion groups, and proactively build networks to increase brand visibility.
  • Act as the customer advocate, bridging feedback and context to product teams to inform product improvements and priorities.
  • Work closely with product teams to provide technical and practical advice from a farmer’s perspective on reproduction, pasture and agronomy.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment and role model Halter’s operating principles while collaborating with colleagues in the North Island and Auckland HQ.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years’ experience in relationship management or account management roles.
  • Experience in dairy farming or the agriculture sector, with a strong passion for helping farmers succeed (preferred).
  • Ability to own targets and work autonomously in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong business acumen and problem-solving orientation.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to engage farmers and on-farm teams.
  • Willingness to be based anywhere in the Taranaki region and undertake frequent travel to customer farms.
  • Comfort engaging with product teams and providing practical technical input on reproduction, pasture and agronomy (preferred).
  • Positive, collaborative attitude and a hunger for personal growth and high performance.
