Description

  • Own retention and expansion of Halter’s existing revenue in the Upper North Island by ensuring farmers extract full value and identifying opportunities for upsell/expansion.
  • Lead, manage and support field-based Account Managers across the region, driving high performance, coaching team members and creating an open, growth-focused culture.
  • Build and maintain genuine, enduring relationships with farmers, their teams and families, and manage high-stakes accounts and stakeholder engagement.
  • Create and execute account success plans, set appropriate touchpoints, manage expectations, and negotiate contract renewals.
  • Adapt and implement Halter’s processes to develop training programs and continuous skill development for the account team.
  • Instill consistent processes and standards to deliver a world-class customer experience and scalable account management practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize and refine the Halter customer experience and identify growth initiatives.
  • Travel frequently across the Auckland and Waikato regions to meet customers, support field activities and lead regional operations.

Requirements

  • Experience managing Account Management teams and owning revenue retention and expansion.
  • Proven experience managing high-stakes accounts, navigating stakeholders and building relationships with a diverse range of people.
  • Strong account management skills, including creating success plans, setting touchpoints, managing expectations and negotiating contract renewals.
  • Experience leading, coaching and developing field-based teams and implementing training/program changes.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience building or operating a Customer Success (CS) function and using customer metrics to inform decisions.
  • Ability to work autonomously and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced high-growth startup environment.
  • Experience within the agricultural sector is a strong bonus (preferred) but not required.
  • Based in or able to work across the Auckland and Waikato regions with frequent travel and full-time availability.
  • High standards, resilience under pressure, a proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative.
