Description

  • Perform recurring health checks across assigned client environments using RMM tools, monitoring tools, and standardized checklists.
  • Detect and remediate misalignments in firewalls, backups, licensing, server health, Microsoft 365, and endpoint compliance.
  • Provide structured reports to vCTOs with risks, gaps, recommendations, and other actionable technical findings.
  • Handle support escalations that require advanced L3 technical troubleshooting and problem isolation.
  • Validate and maintain Windows Server, Active Directory, and Entra ID health, including replication, GPOs, DNS/DHCP, user/role management, and synchronization.
  • Review and verify Office 365 and Azure configurations, licensing, security policies, conditional access, and backup solutions.
  • Monitor virtualization environments such as VMware and Hyper-V, including hosts, clusters, storage, networking, and failover readiness.
  • Verify network security and performance across LAN/WAN, VLANs, firewalls, and VPN configurations.
  • Review endpoint management settings in Intune, including enrollment, compliance policies, patch/update compliance, and conditional access enforcement.
  • Maintain and improve documentation in IT Glue and Autotask, and create repeatable playbooks and process documentation.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of IT systems/network engineering experience at an L4 level.
  • Advanced expertise with Windows Server, Active Directory/Entra ID, Office 365, and Azure.
  • Advanced expertise with virtualization and storage platforms, including VMware and Hyper-V.
  • Advanced expertise with networking technologies including LAN/WAN, VLANs, firewalls, and VPNs.
  • Advanced expertise with Intune, endpoint compliance, and conditional access policies.
  • Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-isolation skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Methodical, detail-oriented, and disciplined working style.
  • Familiarity with RMM tools such as Kaseya or N-able, and with IT Glue or Autotask, preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Networking, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Relevant certifications such as Security+, Network+, Azure/M365 Fundamentals, CCNA, Fortinet NSE 3/4, VMware VCP/VCTA, or ITIL Foundation are preferred growth-path credentials.
