Description

  • Perform recurring health checks across assigned client environments using RMM tools, monitoring tools, and standardized checklists.
  • Detect and remediate misalignments in firewalls, backups, licensing, server health, Microsoft 365, and endpoint compliance.
  • Prepare structured reports for vCTOs that clearly outline risks, gaps, recommendations, and alignment status.
  • Handle support escalations that require L3-level technical troubleshooting and problem isolation.
  • Validate and maintain core infrastructure alignment across Windows Server, Active Directory/Entra ID, Office 365, Azure, virtualization, networking, and endpoint management.
  • Maintain and improve documentation in IT Glue and Autotask to ensure a single source of truth for each client environment.
  • Create repeatable playbooks, process documentation, and alignment references for future reuse.
  • Identify systemic issues and recurring patterns across multiple clients and contribute remediation insights to project and standards documents.
  • Partner with vCTOs and internal service teams to supply accurate technical data for QBRs, strategic engagements, and standards enforcement.
  • Mentor junior team members and help improve overall technical maturity across the organization.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of IT systems/network engineering experience at an L4 level.
  • Advanced expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory/Entra ID, Office 365, Azure, virtualization, storage, networking, Intune, endpoint compliance, and conditional access policies.
  • Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-isolation skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Methodical, detail-oriented, and disciplined working style.
  • Familiarity with RMM tools such as Kaseya or N-able and with IT Glue and Autotask is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Networking, or equivalent experience (7+ years).
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, Microsoft Azure/M365 Fundamentals, Cisco CCNA, Fortinet NSE 3/4, VMware VCP/VCTA, or ITIL Foundation are preferred growth-path credentials.
  • Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to evolving standards.
