Description

  • Work with clients to obtain the information needed for annual reporting and plan administration.
  • Review client-submitted documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Reconcile plans with rollovers and plan stock using Excel and administration software.
  • Use administration software to complete 401(k) testing and reporting.
  • Make reminder calls and send emails to clients during the year-end reporting process.
  • Prepare 401(k) plan government filings, including IRS Form 5500, using filing software.
  • Educate clients on the administration of their 401(k) plans and plan documents.
  • Share knowledge and explain complex topics in a simple, client-friendly way.
  • Support training on concepts for a Retirement Plan Administrator I and perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Experience in customer service, organization, and collaboration.
  • Adequate math and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field such as business or finance, or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of 401(k) plan structure, ROBS, and IRS/DOL regulations preferred.
  • Ability to work independently in an autonomous, self-directed environment.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Must meet work-from-home requirements, including a designated workspace and reliable high-speed internet.
  • Complete continuing education based on current certifications.
  • Ability to help create an inclusive workplace where everyone feels a sense of belonging.
