Description

  • Design, build, and operate backend services that run reliably at scale from development through production.
  • Work with distributed systems, concurrency, and asynchronous processing in a high-throughput environment.
  • Profile and tune services for performance and efficiency by identifying bottlenecks and optimizing code and data structures.
  • Investigate ambiguous production issues and determine root causes.
  • Integrate backend services with caching, streaming, and data-storage systems.
  • Instrument services to keep them observable and debuggable in production.
  • Ship changes in small, reviewable increments through automated CI/CD pipelines.
  • Write clear code and contribute to maintainable engineering practices.
  • Collaborate with other engineers through pull requests and code reviews.
  • Apply AI coding tools to accelerate development and handle larger changes.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience building production backend systems.
  • Strong experience with Scala or Java.
  • Comfort using Python for tooling, automation, and data work.
  • Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
  • Solid grasp of concurrency and asynchronous programming.
  • Fluency with CI/CD and automated build, test, and deployment pipelines.
  • AI fluency, especially with coding agents such as Claude Code or Codex.
  • Sharp problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong ownership of work from end to end.
  • A genuine learning habit and collaborative mindset.
  • Experience operating large-scale, performance-sensitive systems in production (preferred).
  • Exposure to AWS services, especially Auto Scaling Groups, EC2, ELB, and ElastiCache (preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with AWS Bedrock and Bedrock AgentCore or comparable LLM/agent frameworks (preferred).
  • Background in ad-tech or programmatic advertising (preferred).
  • Basic frontend experience with HTML/CSS/JS or a modern framework for internal tooling (preferred).
