Description

  • Build, lead, coach, and scale the strategic finance team as the company grows.
  • Serve as the primary strategic finance partner to the CFO and executive leadership team.
  • Own the end-to-end financial model and company-wide planning cycle, including long-range planning, annual budgeting, and quarterly forecasting.
  • Direct custom financial modeling, scenario analysis, and market insights for product, engineering, marketing, and commercial sales initiatives.
  • Own variance analysis of actual results versus budget and forecast, and provide actionable executive-level decision support.
  • Lead preparation and delivery of board-level reporting and strategic materials.
  • Partner with Accounting on month-end and quarter-end close processes and audit support.
  • Lead analysis and diligence for acquisitions, partnerships, or investment opportunities.
  • Represent finance in cross-departmental strategic planning, OKR setting, and operating rhythms.

Requirements

  • 8–10+ years of progressive experience in strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, private equity, or venture capital.
  • Experience managing and developing people; FinTech or consumer subscription and/or startup experience is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record leading company-wide planning processes at a venture-backed or high-growth company.
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets modeling and technical skills.
  • Experience with FP&A software such as Adaptive, Anaplan, Pigment, or AI-native tools is a plus.
  • Strong leadership, executive communication, and people management skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills and strategic mindset.
  • Proven ability to influence and drive alignment across functions, executive leadership, and boards.
  • Strong accounting and systems knowledge.
  • Strong data visualization skills and the ability to translate complex analyses into clear recommendations.
  • Exceptional executive presence and comfort presenting to CFOs, investors, and boards.
  • Ability to operate in a startup environment with adaptability and flexibility.

  • Estimated base pay range: $185,000–$260,000 in NY/CA/WA and $185,000–$235,000 in CO.
