Description

Build, lead, coach, and scale the strategic finance team as the company grows.
Serve as the primary strategic finance partner to the CFO and executive leadership team.
Own the end-to-end financial model and company-wide planning cycle, including long-range planning, annual budgeting, and quarterly forecasting.
Direct custom financial modeling, scenario analysis, and market insights for product, engineering, marketing, and commercial sales initiatives.
Own variance analysis of actual results versus budget and forecast, and provide actionable executive-level decision support.
Lead preparation and delivery of board-level reporting and strategic materials.
Partner with Accounting on month-end and quarter-end close processes and audit support.
Lead analysis and diligence for acquisitions, partnerships, or investment opportunities.
Represent finance in cross-departmental strategic planning, OKR setting, and operating rhythms.

Requirements

8–10+ years of progressive experience in strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, private equity, or venture capital.
Experience managing and developing people; FinTech or consumer subscription and/or startup experience is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated track record leading company-wide planning processes at a venture-backed or high-growth company.
Advanced Excel or Google Sheets modeling and technical skills.
Experience with FP&A software such as Adaptive, Anaplan, Pigment, or AI-native tools is a plus.
Strong leadership, executive communication, and people management skills.
Excellent analytical skills and strategic mindset.
Proven ability to influence and drive alignment across functions, executive leadership, and boards.
Strong accounting and systems knowledge.
Strong data visualization skills and the ability to translate complex analyses into clear recommendations.
Exceptional executive presence and comfort presenting to CFOs, investors, and boards.
Ability to operate in a startup environment with adaptability and flexibility.

Estimated base pay range: $185,000–$260,000 in NY/CA/WA and $185,000–$235,000 in CO.
