Description

  • Conduct municipal and regulatory code research for cross-functional teams.
  • Create municipal presentations and zoning exhibits to support submissions.
  • Prepare and submit applications to agencies responsible for permits and approvals.
  • Provide zoning site verification to confirm property suitability and siting compliance.
  • Coordinate permit application processes with architects, engineers, and expeditors.
  • Track permit status with municipalities and ensure timely processing.
  • Communicate project status, timelines, and issues to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain project schedules from approval through final permitting stages.
  • Forecast permit issue dates and notify construction teams to support mobilization.
  • Manage tracking, documentation, and reporting for permitting status on new store openings, remodels, and conversions.
  • Maintain internal files related to applications, approvals, and permits.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of permitting/compliance experience with a general contractor, retailer, or comparable paralegal experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of the construction industry is required.
  • Ability to read and understand construction documents.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with an analytical, innovative, and creative mindset.
  • Ability to manage intensive workloads.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, and able to work independently or within teams.
  • Ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
  • High level of professionalism and integrity when handling confidential information.
  • Must understand and comply with Green Thumb rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Solid understanding of cannabis laws, rules, and regulations, with a desire to deepen industry knowledge.
  • Must pass all required background checks.
  • Must remain compliant with all legal and company regulations for work in the cannabis industry.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Minimum age of 21.
  • Must be approved by the state badging agency to work in the cannabis industry.

Benefits

  • Competitive pay range of $90,000 to $120,000 USD.
  • Eligibility for a discretionary annual incentive program based on organization and individual performance.
