Description

  • Own finished-product and flower packaging execution across all manufacturing sites, ensuring specification, labeling, traceability, and quality standards.
  • Establish packaging standard work, line-clearance procedures, changeovers, sanitation, and material-readiness controls.
  • Lead network-wide LEAN deployment, including 5S, visual management, Gemba practices, value-stream mapping, and kaizen events.
  • Build and manage a continuous-improvement pipeline with quantified savings, performance metrics, and sustained results.
  • Align packaging capacity, staffing, materials, and run sequencing with production schedules, demand signals, and S&OP plans.
  • Lead production-scheduling capability and resolve conflicts across production, packaging, and fulfillment.
  • Ensure compliance with BPRs, SOPs, GMP, CAPA processes, METRC requirements, and state-specific labeling rules.
  • Use quality and production data to identify defects, drive corrective actions, and improve OEE, changeovers, scrap, throughput, yield, and UPLH.
  • Lead cross-functional packaging and process-improvement projects, maintaining milestones, risks, dependencies, and communication through tools such as Smartsheet.
  • Develop packaging and process-improvement teams while fostering safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across sites.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on manufacturing experience.
  • 4+ years of progressive manufacturing operations experience with ownership of packaging or high-volume production.
  • Demonstrated success leading LEAN or continuous-improvement transformations with quantified, sustained results.
  • Working knowledge of production scheduling, MRP/MPS, and S&OP in regulated or high-mix manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with Batch Production Records, SOPs, GMP, and CAPA processes.
  • Fluency with ERP/MRP systems, particularly D365, and project-tracking tools; reporting or BI experience is a plus.
  • LEAN/Six Sigma certification at Green Belt level or higher preferred.
  • Multi-state or multi-site manufacturing leadership experience preferred.
  • Cannabis industry experience, including METRC, BarTender, and QualityOne/Veeva Vault, preferred.
  • Must pass required background checks, maintain industry and company compliance, hold a valid driver’s license, be at least 21 years old, and obtain state cannabis-industry approval.

Benefits

  • Remote position with 50% travel.
  • Salary range of $160,000–$185,000 USD, based on experience, qualifications, and/or location.
  • Potential eligibility for a discretionary annual incentive program based on organizational and individual performance.
