Description

  • Design backend systems with a strong focus on latency and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain the Indexing Platform using Go and Python.
  • Build reliable indexing systems that process candidate data in real time and in batch.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers and MLEs to integrate indexing services with ML systems.
  • Support search, ranking, and content understanding features through indexing infrastructure.
  • Work with Kubernetes, Kafka, Redis, Postgres, and internal or third-party APIs.
  • Improve resilience, monitoring, alerting, and automation across the platform.
  • Own end-to-end delivery of backend features from design through production.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Python and Go.
  • Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and clear, testable code.
  • Strong expertise in testing, including unit and integration testing.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Kafka, and Redis at user or admin level.
  • Familiarity with AWS and/or Google Cloud for deployment and scaling.
  • Experience working on backends for large-scale B2C applications with 10M+ daily active users.
  • Experience optimizing systems for high throughput and reliability.
  • Product engineering experience with a track record of delivering features from design to production.
  • Experience with SOLID principles.
  • Experience working with PostgreSQL or similar database systems.
