Description

  • Design and develop power electronic circuits such as DC-DC converters, LDOs, AC-DC supplies, and automotive power systems.
  • Create and maintain schematics and PCB layouts using tools such as KiCad, Altium, or similar software.
  • Select and validate components based on electrical requirements and datasheet specifications.
  • Evaluate circuit performance in terms of efficiency, ripple, thermal behavior, and reliability.
  • Apply PCB layout best practices, including grounding, routing, EMI mitigation, and design for manufacturability considerations.
  • Prepare manufacturing deliverables including BOMs, Gerber files, and pick-and-place data.
  • Perform validation using simulations, calculations, and design rule checks.
  • Define structured validation methodologies covering electrical specifications, component compliance, and design integrity.
  • Establish evaluation criteria for PCB layouts, including DRC/LVS, thermal performance, and power integrity.
  • Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to improve design quality and evaluation processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in power electronics or PCB design.
  • Solid experience designing power electronics such as DC-DC converters and voltage regulators.
  • Hands-on expertise with schematic capture and PCB layout.
  • Experience using PCB design tools such as KiCad, Altium, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with design rule checks (DRC), manufacturability, and EMI fundamentals.
  • Ability to work 8 hours per day with at least 4 hours of overlap with PST.
  • Available for a contractor assignment of 4 weeks or longer.
  • Location in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, or Ghana.
