Description

  • Assemble, install, and integrate power system components, including power generation, energy storage, conversion, and distribution systems.
  • Build, test, calibrate, and document power electronics modules such as DC-DC converters, AC-DC rectifiers, and inverters.
  • Support engineers with setup, testing, data collection, and troubleshooting of intelligent power management systems.
  • Install, test, and troubleshoot thermal management solutions for high-power components such as batteries, power electronics, and motors.
  • Perform electrical and mechanical integration of power systems with motors, sensors, computing units, and communication systems.
  • Design, program, and commission control systems such as PLCs, SCADA, and HMI for power distribution and machinery operation.
  • Tune drives and motor parameters, including VFD settings, PI gains, acceleration rates, and torque limits.
  • Integrate electric motors with drive electronics, controllers, and mechanical components.
  • Execute test plans for performance, safety, reliability, and environmental conditions, and document results.
  • Set up and support EMI/EMC pre-compliance and compliance testing under engineering supervision.
  • Follow safety protocols, industry standards, and military specifications during assembly, testing, and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, firmware, and production teams to support builds and improve processes.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Electrical Technology, Electronics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience and certifications.
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience assembling, testing, and troubleshooting power electronics and electrical systems.
  • Functional understanding of common power conversion topologies such as buck, boost, and flyback.
  • Experience assembling, testing, and troubleshooting battery packs and Battery Management Systems (BMS).
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings.
  • Proficiency with test equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and electronic loads.
  • Experience collecting and performing basic analysis of power system performance data.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical and power systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with engineering and production teams.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
  • Must be a U.S. Person.
  • Experience working with high-voltage and/or high-power electrical systems in the kW range (preferred).
  • Familiarity with SiC and GaN semiconductor components used in power electronics (preferred).
  • Experience in the defense, aerospace, or automotive industries (preferred).
  • Basic understanding of how embedded software interacts with hardware in power systems (preferred).
  • Experience assisting with EMI/EMC testing and applying basic mitigation techniques such as shielding and grounding (preferred).
  • Experience with CAD viewing tools for mechanical or electrical drawings (preferred).
