Description

  • Build new features and improve the operational experience of the systems you develop.
  • Iteratively improve software based on production insights.
  • Author, contribute to, and review design documents.
  • Help shape the product and engineering roadmap.
  • Mentor and support other team members.
  • Collaborate across teams and with external stakeholders.
  • Own customer experience through weekday and weekend on-call rotations.
  • Participate in planning and safe rollout of large-scale architectural changes to minimize service disruptions.

Requirements

  • Strong coding skills with operational experience and ownership of software in production.
  • Experience working on a SaaS platform at scale.
  • Experience with distributed systems challenges such as scalability, multi-tenancy, data isolation, and high availability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work transparently across teams, align with stakeholders, and incorporate feedback.
  • Pragmatic approach that prioritizes progress over perfection and handles ambiguity well.
  • Familiarity with Golang on the backend, or enthusiasm to learn it.
  • Willingness to participate in weekday 12h x 5d and separate weekend 24h x 2d on-call rotations.
  • Remote candidates must be based in the US or Canada.
  • Preferred or helpful: experience building observability platforms or highly integrated SaaS applications.
