Description

  • Build and roll out new features, then iterate based on results and feedback.
  • Drive projects from initial ideation through customer-facing operations.
  • Analyze complex problems and design modular solutions with short feedback loops.
  • Deliver MVPs, gather data and feedback, and improve solutions incrementally.
  • Maintain critical systems with ownership of reliability, performance, and availability.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and support the services you operate.
  • Mentor teammates, contribute to design discussions, and collaborate across the team.
  • Influence the roadmap and contribute to your own career objectives.
  • Work with modern AI coding assistants in the development workflow, following security and quality guidelines.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a full-time remote role in the US or Canada.
  • Strong coding skills and operational experience, including responsibility for operating software you have built.
  • Experience working on a SaaS platform and with distributed systems challenges such as scalability, multi-tenancy, data isolation, and high availability.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills for a fully remote team environment.
  • Willingness to work across teams and align with external stakeholders.
  • Pragmatic, action-oriented approach with the ability to handle ambiguity.
  • Programming experience in Java.
  • Experience with Kubernetes.
  • Experience with at least one cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Customer-focused mindset.
  • Preferred: familiarity with observability systems, SQL, graph, and time-series databases.

Benefits

  • Base salary range in the United States: USD 154,445 to USD 185,334.
  • Equity in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
