Description

  • Lead the AI-enabled transformation of grafana.com into an agent-ready platform for humans, search engines, AI assistants, agents, and LLMs.
  • Own the technical execution, platform strategy, and operational excellence of the marketing website and surrounding digital experiences.
  • Ensure the web platform is stable, secure, performant, dependable, and easy to evolve.
  • Define standards for reliability, incident handling, operational visibility, platform health, performance, and security hygiene.
  • Own the operating model for web technology work, including roadmap reviews, stakeholder updates, prioritization, and delivery accountability.
  • Use automation and AI-assisted workflows to reduce coordination overhead and improve clarity.
  • Partner with marketing, product, design, engineering, and other stakeholders to improve the path from website visit to product trial and activation.
  • Scale self-serve web operations through strong CMS models, reusable patterns, content and UX guardrails, documentation, and governance.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the web development team while raising technical standards and clarifying ownership.
  • Build practical AI-enabled systems for content workflows, QA, personalization, localization, analytics, experimentation, and web operations.

Requirements

  • Remote position open to candidates in Canada.
  • Experience leading web engineering teams and building reliable, scalable, high-performing web platforms.
  • Strong technical judgment with the ability to communicate effectively with both engineers and marketing or executive stakeholders.
  • Understanding of modern frontend engineering, CMS-driven websites, analytics, integrations, performance, security, launch operations, and AI-enabled digital experiences.
  • Ability to turn ambiguous business needs into clear technical plans, priorities, timelines, tradeoffs, and decisions.
  • Strong operational mindset focused on improving delivery through systems rather than last-minute heroics.
  • Experience mentoring and developing engineers through accountability, ownership, and coaching.
  • Experience with Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind, Storyblok, Vercel, Algolia, RudderStack, BigQuery, AirOps, or similar tools.
  • Experience using AI to improve engineering workflows, QA, documentation, planning, analytics, experimentation, or operational reporting.
  • Preferred: familiarity with AEO, GEO, SEO, structured content, and how AI assistants consume website information.
  • Preferred: experience building AI-enabled web experiences, agent-ready content systems, personalization, chat experiences, or LLM-optimized websites.
  • Preferred: experience supporting developer, infrastructure, observability, cloud, or open source audiences.
