Description

  • Manage a portfolio of owned conferences and third-party sponsorships across EMEA and eventually APJ.
  • Lead end-to-end event logistics, including venue sourcing, contracting, vendors, booth setup, registration, and on-site execution.
  • Own event timelines, budgets, contracts, communications, and stakeholder visibility.
  • Define success metrics, conduct post-event analysis, and implement improvements to increase ROI.
  • Create, review, and approve event assets, presentations, signage, collateral, and registration experiences.
  • Use AI and automation tools to improve event planning, execution accuracy, and reporting.
  • Identify risks and resolve issues through real-time on-site decision-making.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, product, and regional teams to align events with business objectives.
  • Guide junior staff, contractors, and agency partners while remaining hands-on.

Requirements

  • Located in the UK, Netherlands, Sweden, or Germany.
  • 4+ years of direct event management experience, including end-to-end conferences and independently managed sponsorships.
  • Demonstrated experience with venue sourcing and contracting, budget ownership and reconciliation, vendor management, registration builds, on-site leadership, and post-event analysis.
  • Experience serving as the primary on-site decision-maker for in-person events.
  • Willingness to travel by plane approximately 40%, including long-haul APJ travel and occasional APJ/AMER time-zone work.
  • Curiosity and adaptability with marketing technologies, including AI tools such as Claude Code.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across global, cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex events, competing deadlines, shifting priorities, and diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, project management, problem-solving, commercial judgment, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in Zuddl or similar registration platforms; familiarity with Salesforce and Monday.com preferred.
