Description

  • Provide virtual therapy sessions for clients using approved telehealth technology.
  • Review clients’ presenting concerns, background, and therapy goals.
  • Prepare individualized treatment plans and update them as care progresses.
  • Use clinically appropriate counseling approaches to support emotional and behavioral health.
  • Document sessions, assessments, progress updates, and care recommendations.
  • Recognize when clients need crisis support, referrals, or a higher level of care.
  • Maintain professional communication with clients and internal clinical contacts.
  • Protect client privacy and follow HIPAA and Connecticut licensing standards.
  • Stay current with professional practice expectations and required continuing education.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
  • Active Connecticut Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license in good standing.
  • Experience providing therapy to adults, couples, families, or diverse client populations preferred.
  • Strong understanding of clinical assessment, treatment planning, and progress notes.
  • Comfortable using telehealth platforms and electronic health record systems.
  • Able to work independently while maintaining strong clinical judgment.
  • Telehealth experience is a plus.
  • Additional training in CBT, trauma-informed care, DBT, or related areas is a plus.
