Description

  • Lead and mentor the teams responsible for catalog, pricing, and third-party integration platforms.
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions with engineering and product leadership.
  • Scope, decompose, delegate, and coordinate projects across multiple teammates.
  • Plan delivery by managing dependencies, identifying risks, and communicating timelines, tradeoffs, and uncertainty to stakeholders.
  • Manage project timelines, resource allocation, team performance, and delivery scope.
  • Provide technical direction for data platform projects and initiatives.
  • Develop team practices for professional development, performance management, and hiring.
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software solutions.
  • Implement system and data monitoring to ensure business-process correctness.
  • Oversee operational support for multiple large distributed software applications.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience.
  • 3+ years of engineering management experience.
  • Experience partnering with functional stakeholders and developing roadmaps aligned to business priorities.
  • Experience with organizational design, team development, hiring, and performance management.
  • Experience deploying applications and services to Kubernetes using tools such as Helm, ArgoCD, and Istio.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
  • Production public-cloud experience, preferably Azure.
  • Proficiency with SQL, Postgres, Java, and TypeScript.
  • Experience building data-intensive applications that process high-velocity or high-volume data.
  • Experience with SQL data analysis in Snowflake or BigQuery, data pipelines, asynchronous message-based processing, and production JavaScript/SPA technologies such as React.
