Description

  • Architect, implement, maintain, and iterate on product features.
  • Own projects from initial concept through release.
  • Debug and investigate customer-reported issues.
  • Partner with Product and Design to plan feature development.
  • Drive performance and stability improvements across GoodTime Hire.
  • Collaborate with engineering and leadership teams on the technical roadmap.
  • Demo new features to internal stakeholders.
  • Learn and apply new languages, systems, and models as technology evolves.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software development experience.
  • 3+ years of JavaScript or TypeScript experience.
  • 3+ years of React experience.
  • Advanced web development knowledge and deep familiarity with the JavaScript ecosystem.
  • Experience with object-oriented design, development, and test-driven development.
  • Experience with relational databases and REST communication.
  • Experience using debugging tools such as Datadog.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, time management, attention to detail, and customer empathy.
  • Product-driven mindset and comfort learning new technologies and systems.
  • Familiarity with AWS or other cloud providers (preferred).
  • Experience with web performance, CSS/SCSS, Figma, component libraries, LangChain, or LangGraph (preferred).
  • Experience working through rapid company growth from 10 to hundreds of engineers (preferred).
  • Must be located in Canada.
