Description

  • Design, build, and deploy scalable ETL/ELT pipelines from diverse source systems into Snowflake Data Cloud.
  • Manage and optimize data flows within an AWS environment, including S3, Lambda, and IAM, with attention to availability, security, and cost efficiency.
  • Use Databricks and Python/PySpark to process complex transformations and high-volume workloads.
  • Collaborate with the team to define, implement, and scale a semantic layer using dbt Semantic Layer, MetricFlow, or similar tools.
  • Build modular, version-controlled, and tested dbt data models that serve as the foundation for business intelligence.
  • Architect and maintain authoritative sources of truth and governed data marts.
  • Standardize business logic, metrics, and dimensions for downstream consumers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or a closely related field in a complex, multi-team data environment.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Snowflake or a similar cloud data warehouse, including clustering, Snowpipe, streams, and tasks.
  • Advanced mastery of dbt and complex SQL transformation logic, with experience building semantic models and metric definitions.
  • Strong Python skills and hands-on experience with Databricks for Spark-based orchestration.
  • Practical experience managing data workloads within AWS.
  • Deep understanding of Git-based workflows and CI/CD for data.
  • Experience with semantic layer tools such as dbt Semantic Layer or MetricFlow.
  • Experience working in regulated industries or enterprise environments is a plus.
