Description

  • Design and develop ML models such as classification, ranking, and scoring to power customer-facing features.
  • Use SQL and Python to analyze product data and identify opportunities for ML-driven improvements.
  • Rapidly prototype AI/ML product ideas in collaboration with Product and Design.
  • Define hypotheses, evaluate model performance, and iterate on models and features quickly.
  • Work with Engineering to productionize validated models into scalable product features.
  • Improve the product’s automation, personalization, and predictive capabilities.
  • Ensure models are measurable, interpretable, and aligned with user value.
  • Assess internal and external data sources used in ML features and validate their quality and reliability.
  • Define metrics and checks to ensure data is fit for customer-facing use.
  • Move ideas from ambiguous problem framing through prototype to shipped feature with strong ownership.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in data science or applied ML.
  • Strong SQL skills and confidence working directly with product data.
  • Strong Python experience for modeling, including pandas and scikit-learn.
  • Solid understanding of statistics and model evaluation techniques.
  • Experience shipping ML-powered features in production.
  • A product-oriented mindset and comfort working cross-functionally.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
  • Experience working in a startup environment or high-growth company.
  • Experience shipping ML features in a B2B SaaS product (preferred).
  • Experience with LLM-based systems (preferred).
  • Experience with recommendation or ranking systems (preferred).
