Description

  • Own the end-to-end processing of Mexico payrolls for assigned clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
  • Process payroll inputs such as starters, leavers, salary changes, variable pay, benefits, deductions, and attendance records.
  • Calculate net pay, final pay for leavers, and other payroll adjustments in line with local requirements.
  • Generate, distribute, and validate payslips and maintain audit-ready payroll records and reports.
  • Manage statutory registrations and deregistrations, tax filings, social security obligations, and electronic payroll stamping/CFDI compliance.
  • Use local payroll platforms and systems such as SUA, SIPARE, and IDSE where applicable.
  • Act as a client-facing payroll contact, respond to payroll queries, and provide clear explanations of payroll outputs.
  • Liaise with client HR and finance teams to validate payroll inputs and support new client onboarding and go-live activity.
  • Perform pre- and post-payroll checks to identify discrepancies, resolve issues, and escalate risks appropriately.
  • Maintain SOPs, run guides, and knowledge documentation while contributing to process improvement and cross-training.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience with strong Mexico payroll knowledge.
  • Deep understanding of Mexico statutory filing requirements, payroll taxes, social security, and employee lifecycle obligations.
  • Experience with SUA, SIPARE, and IDSE.
  • Experience ensuring compliance with electronic stamping and CFDI requirements in Mexico.
  • Strong knowledge of Mexico payroll regulations and the ability to apply legislative requirements accurately.
  • Experience using payroll systems and software with strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Comfortable working remotely and independently while managing multiple payroll cycles and client deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills, including the ability to explain payroll matters to non-payroll stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll systems; cloud-based payroll or HRIS experience is advantageous.
  • Comfortable working with AI-assisted tools and open to continuous learning.
  • Bachelor’s degree, postgraduate diploma, or professional degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience in a payroll bureau, outsourced payroll, EOR, global payroll services, or multi-client payroll environment (preferred).
  • Experience supporting payroll audits, statutory reviews, internal controls, client onboarding, or payroll transition projects (preferred).
  • Experience documenting payroll SOPs, run guides, controls, and country knowledge materials (preferred).
  • Exposure to regional backup models or cross-country payroll support in Latin America is advantageous.
