Description

  • Design and implement production-ready AI-powered tools for research workflows.
  • Write modular, testable, and maintainable Python code using strong software engineering practices.
  • Build reproducible data-processing pipelines that convert raw data into structured, analysis-ready outputs.
  • Add validation, logging, and other reliability controls to automated workflows.
  • Develop APIs and system integrations that connect survey platforms, databases, and AI components.
  • Implement testing and evaluation frameworks to validate automated outputs and preserve methodological rigor.
  • Build lightweight internal tools or interfaces that make automated systems easy for researchers to use.
  • Collaborate with non-technical stakeholders to translate research processes into working systems.

Requirements

  • Strong programming skills in Python.
  • Experience building automated workflows, data pipelines, or internal tools.
  • Experience integrating LLM APIs or similar AI systems into production workflows.
  • Understanding of APIs and system integrations.
  • Experience working with structured and unstructured data.
  • Ability to design clean, maintainable systems rather than one-off scripts.
  • Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with non-technical teams.
  • Experience with survey data, polling, or quantitative research workflows preferred.
  • UI/UX or front-end design/implementation experience preferred.
  • SQL and database experience preferred, including Redshift, Postgres, BigQuery, or Snowflake.
  • Familiarity with Git and version control preferred.
  • Experience building evaluation frameworks for AI systems preferred.
  • Experience in political polling or public opinion research preferred.

  • Base salary of $10,000 to $15,000 per month, commensurate with experience.
