Description

  • Lead technical discovery, product demos, and validation sessions to show how GitLab meets customer needs.
  • Own technical evaluations, including solution design, proof of concept/proof of value initiatives, workshops, tenders, audits, and value stream assessments.
  • Partner with Account Executives and regional sales teams to shape and execute account strategies for new business and expansion.
  • Build trusted relationships with technical practitioners and business leaders and guide them through GitLab-led transformation.
  • Advise customers on modern software development, CI/CD, security, and cloud practices to improve outcomes and ROI.
  • Act as the voice of the customer by sharing feedback, use cases, and competitive insights with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing.
  • Maintain and extend technical expertise in GitLab, DevSecOps, AI, and cloud technologies.
  • Create reusable examples, best-practice guidance, and technical collateral for customers and partners.
  • Continuously learn, mentor, and share knowledge to strengthen the Solutions Architect team.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, consulting, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
  • Experience guiding customers through solution design and technical evaluation.
  • Proficiency with the full software development lifecycle, including DevSecOps, CI/CD, and continuous deployment workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with GitLab or similar source control, CI/CD, and collaboration platforms.
  • Practical knowledge of cloud computing concepts and related deployment, security, and operations considerations.
  • Ability to lead proofs of concept/proofs of value and contribute to tenders, audits, workshops, and value stream assessments.
  • Strong technical communication and presentation skills for both practitioners and senior decision makers.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships, listen with empathy, and advocate for customers internally.
  • Motivation to keep developing professionally and learn new technologies.
  • Experience with transferable technologies or related fields is welcomed.
