Description

Lead technical discovery, demos, and validation activities to demonstrate how GitLab meets customer needs.
Own technical evaluations, including proofs of value, solution design, workshop design, and support for tenders, audits, and value stream assessments.
Partner with Account Executives and regional sales teams to shape and execute account strategies for new business and expansion.
Build trusted relationships with technical practitioners and business leaders and help turn them into GitLab advocates.
Advise customers on modern software development, CI/CD, security, cloud practices, and DevSecOps approaches.
Serve as the voice of the customer to Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing by sharing feedback, use cases, and market insights.
Maintain and grow technical expertise in GitLab, DevSecOps, AI, and cloud technologies.
Create reusable technical collateral, examples, and best-practice guidance for customers and partners.
Support customer digital transformation and platform adoption across the software development lifecycle.
Continuously learn, mentor, and share knowledge within the Solutions Architect team.

Requirements

Experience in technical pre-sales, consulting, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
Proficiency with the end-to-end software development lifecycle and modern DevSecOps practices.
Experience with CI/CD workflows and continuous integration and continuous deployment.
Hands-on experience with GitLab or comparable source control, CI/CD, and collaboration platforms.
Practical knowledge of cloud computing concepts and related deployment, security, and operations topics.
Ability to lead proofs of concept or proofs of value and contribute to tenders, audits, workshops, or value stream assessments.
Strong technical communication and presentation skills for both practitioners and senior decision makers.
Ability to build trusted relationships, listen with empathy, and advocate for customers internally.
Motivation to keep learning new technologies and deepen platform expertise.
Experience in or familiarity with solution selling, public sector customers, or related enterprise environments is beneficial.
