Description

  • Lead a distributed team of intermediate and senior Solutions Architects supporting Enterprise customers in the East territory.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members through feedback, career support, and skills development.
  • Hire, onboard, and retain a high-performing, inclusive, results-focused team.
  • Engage in key customer opportunities from discovery through technical validation and adoption.
  • Drive the quality and consistency of technical evaluations, demos, and proofs of concept.
  • Collaborate with regional sales managers on territory strategy, account planning, and forecast support.
  • Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to share field insights and influence messaging and roadmap direction.
  • Define and track key performance indicators and communicate progress, risks, and priorities to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Experience mentoring and developing technical team members.
  • Experience managing or leading technical pre-sales or information technology professionals, ideally in an enterprise-focused environment.
  • Ability to collaborate with managers and cross-functional partners on sales and go-to-market strategy.
  • Strong technical presentation and communication skills for technical and business audiences.
  • Knowledge of the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including modern software development or operations practices.
  • Understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment concepts.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing concepts, related technologies, and common customer adoption patterns.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed and openness to learning GitLab and related tools.
  • Experience in adjacent domains is transferable and may be considered.
  • Prior leadership experience in a remote, asynchronous environment is beneficial.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $142,200 to $213,300 USD.
  • Sales roles are eligible for incentive pay up to 100% of base salary.
