Description

  • Meet or exceed quota while building strong customer relationships.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for prospects and customers in the assigned territory.
  • Document buying criteria, buying process, next steps, and account owners.
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline through consistent prospecting activity.
  • Prospect for and close new business to expand the territory.
  • Drive product adoption and work to prevent churn and contraction.
  • Collaborate with partner ecosystems to generate new business and customer value.
  • Create accurate quarterly forecasts against plan and budget.
  • Participate in events to network with current and prospective customers.
  • Contribute to root cause analyses for wins and losses and share lessons learned with internal teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Customer Success, Renewals, and Sales Development to support pre- and post-sales outcomes.
  • Act as the voice of the customer by submitting product ideas to the public issue tracker.
  • Master MEDPICC and Command of the Message across opportunities.

Requirements

  • Must be located in the Central, Mountain, or Pacific time zones.
  • Demonstrated progressive experience in SaaS sales, including pitching value to development teams, preferably DevOps.
  • Interest in GitLab and open source software.
  • Ability to leverage established relationships and proven sales techniques.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Motivated, driven, and results-oriented.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
  • Preferred experience with Git, software development tools, and Application Lifecycle Management.
  • Alignment with GitLab’s values and ability to work in accordance with those values.
  • Ability to travel regularly to meet customers in person and comply with the company travel policy.

  • Base salary range of $79,900 to $141,000 USD.
