Description

  • Meet or exceed quota while building strong customer relationships.
  • Articulate GitLab’s value to commercial prospects and customers in the US Eastern region.
  • Own and manage the book of business in your territory as the primary point of contact.
  • Document buying criteria, buying process, next steps, and account owners.
  • Build a healthy pipeline through consistent prospecting activity.
  • Prospect, close new business, and expand the territory.
  • Drive product adoption and work to prevent churn and contraction.
  • Collaborate with the partner ecosystem to create customer value and generate new business.
  • Create accurate quarterly forecasts against plan and budget.
  • Partner with Customer Success, Renewals, Sales Development, and other cross-functional teams to support pre- and post-sales outcomes.
  • Contribute to root cause analyses for wins and losses and share lessons learned with internal teams.
  • Document improvements in the sales handbook and contribute product ideas through the public issue tracker.
  • Master MEDPICC and Command of the Message across opportunities.
  • Attend customer-facing events and travel regularly to meet customers in person.

Requirements

  • Progressive experience in SaaS sales, with value-based pitching to development teams, preferably DevOps teams.
  • Interest in GitLab and open source software.
  • Ability to leverage existing relationships and proven sales techniques.
  • Effective communication and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
  • Motivated, driven, and results-oriented mindset.
  • Preferred experience with Git, software development tools, and application lifecycle management.
  • Ability to travel regularly and comply with the company travel policy.
  • Alignment with GitLab’s values and ways of working.

Benefits

  • United States base salary range of $79,900 to $141,000 USD.
