Description

  • Execute outbound prospecting initiatives to generate qualified meetings and pipeline in an assigned territory.
  • Generate new logo opportunities and growth opportunities within existing customer accounts.
  • Conduct discovery conversations with target accounts to qualify opportunities and create Sales Accepted Opportunities (SAOs).
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly BDR-sourced SAO targets.
  • Research and prioritize target accounts to identify key stakeholders, compelling events, and tailored outreach strategies.
  • Run a multi-touch outreach cadence across phone, email, social, and similar channels using Outreach.
  • Track and report prospecting activity and pipeline accurately in Salesforce.
  • Collaborate with Field, Corporate, and Digital Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success teams on account lists, campaigns, and call strategies.
  • Attend regional marketing events to engage participants, generate leads, and drive qualified opportunities.
  • Document and improve BDR processes in the GitLab handbook and mentor new BDR hires.

Requirements

  • 100% remote work from the United States or Canada.
  • Experience prospecting into Financial Services accounts or familiarity with finserv buyer personas is a strong plus.
  • Positive and energetic phone presence, excellent listening skills, and strong writing skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage a high volume of outreach, and follow through consistently.
  • Proven ability to take initiative and persist through setbacks to drive work to successful outcomes.
  • Knowledge of business processes, roles, and organizational structure.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, Sales Navigator, and Outreach or similar prospecting and sequencing tools.
  • Proficiency in English is required.
  • Previous tech industry experience or experience in sales development, marketing, or sales is a plus.
  • Alignment with GitLab’s values is required.

  • Base salary range of $49,980 to $73,500 USD.
